Bordeaux, 07 July 2014 – Bordeaux-based Big Data start-up Cogniteev is awardee of the 16th edition of i-LAB The French National Competition for the Creation of Technologically Innovative Companies (Concours national d’aide à la creation d’entreprise innovantes) organised by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and BpiFrance. In the category “création-développement” the young company will be receiving financial aid for innovation and development and is already planning to grow the team.
Cogniteev is a provider for web-based Big Data and Semantic Search business solutions. With the fresh capital the company will be able to accelerate the development and exploitation of its products and create new positions.

The award ceremony for i-LAB crea-dev was held on 1 July in Paris in presence of the French minister of Higher Education and Research Geneviève Fioraso. Cogniteev was one of the three projects nominated in the French region of Aquitaine out of 54 nationwide awardees.
Cogniteev will be investing around a million euros in R&D projects in the two years to come and is therefore looking to recruit more Data scientists and specialists for Hadoop, Elasticsearch and similar technologies, but also experts in User Experience Design and Data Visualisation.
Cogniteev is providing powerful Smart Data Solutions around Enterprise Search, Web Data Collection and Analysis – aiming to make web-based business data accessible and actually useful. The company offers a range of cloud-ready Search Engines, Smart Data Dashboards and Smart Data Collections at web-scale. Co-founded by serial entrepreneur Francois Goube and search technology expert and former Exalead R&D Engineer Tanguy Moal in 2013 with the vision of becoming a leading provider for web-based Big Data Business Solutions in Europe – the start-up is based in Bordeaux.
