We are thrilled to announce that the Oncrawl Data Studio connector is now publicly available after its release in beta in early 2020!

Why connect Oncrawl and Data Studio

An increasing number of SEOs and Data Analysts are using data visualization platforms like Data Studio to produce automatically updated reports and dashboards to clearly represent trends and issues for themselves, their coworkers, their company’s management, or clients they report to.

Data Studio has become the go-to data visualization solution for many SEOs: it’s easy to access and relatively easy to use for most people.

With the Oncrawl connector for Data Studio, you can add data from your crawls to your dashboards and results in just a few clicks.

How does the Oncrawl Data Studio connector work?

The Oncrawl connector is the easiest, fastest, and simplest way to get your crawl data into a Data Studio report.

You can set up the option to send crawl data to Data Studio directly from the crawl profile settings before you launch a crawl. This will send all future crawls to Data Studio automatically, updating your reports as soon as a new crawl is run.

Since we know your data doesn’t begin the day you start using a new connector, you can also add older crawls manually to the information sent to Data Studio.

For those crawls that you want to keep out of your reporting, it’s as simple as not activating sharing with Data Studio to make sure that that information stays private.

Integrate crawl data into your holistic marketing and growth strategies

Data from URLs that have been crawled by our bot are now available in Data Studio. These data are part of the dataset that includes all of the crawl-based information Oncrawl shows for your URLs.

This means that all of the information on site health, duplicate content, status codes, and much more can be tracked in your Data Studio reports alongside the other key information you monitor for your website, your marketing, or your growth strategy.

What’s more, all of this information can easily be blended in Data Studio with other data sources in order to report on correlations and influences between metrics, each updated in real time as new information becomes available, whether or not they’re part of your crawl analysis. This might include business data directly from your CRM, up-to-date community activity data from your social networks, live data from SEO tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs, or even data on market trends that you’ve collected elsewhere.

We’ve also made sure that the segmentations and page groups that you’ve defined for your project are also available in Data Studio. The valuable perspectives and insights you’ve gained using segmentation are still there when looking at audit data in Data Studio–as well as when blending SEO audit data with other sources.

You can then chart the results and keep an eye on how the relationships between blended data evolve.

If you’re not sure how to get started, or just want to see what’s possible, we’ve included a free template to help you get started. We’ve also written an article to help you get started. Our sales and support teams can also make additional templates available to combine Oncrawl data with data from other connectors and harness the power of cross-analysis from within Data Studio.
